IN THE HEART OF
TUSCANY
STIA
ART, HISTORY, NATURE, WELL-BEING |
I went down endless wooded and deserted valleys
with sudden settings of a promised landscape, an isolated and far-off castle and
in the end Stia, white and elegant among the green woods, sweet-sounding within
the framework of its peaceful castles, the first greeting of the happy life of
this new village, Tuscan poetry still lives within its square, resounding with
serene voices, while the ancient castle is keeping watch over it; ladies leaning
on balconies languidly show their pure profiles at night: it's the hour of grace
of the day, the time of rest and oblivion".
Everything has got silent outside: the knight's affectionate conversation goes
on:
"Comme deux ennemis
rompus
Que leure haine ne soutient plus
Et qui laissent tomber leurs armes!"
